Distinguished Lecture Series
The Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS) is HBSA’s premier professional event. A formal luncheon is held each semester, designed to inspire and empower our members since 1999. During this event, we invite an industry professional to speak on their valuable insights, advice, and strategies for navigating and excelling in the business world. It’s an opportunity for members to gain real-world knowledge while connecting with accomplished professionals. DLS exemplifies HBSA’s dedication to fostering professional growth and preparing students for success.
Dunbar Elementary Schoool Christmas Gift Exchange
The Dunbar Gift Exchange is HBSA’s heartfelt tradition of spreading holiday cheer and giving back to the community, a legacy that began in 1989. Each year, we partner with Dunbar Elementary School to create a magical day filled with joy, connection, and celebration. From delivering Christmas presents to spending quality time with the kids, we aim to make the holidays unforgettable for these young students. This cherished event reflects HBSA’s commitment to making a meaningful impact during the season of giving.
Familia Fun Day
Familia Fun Day is HBSA’s signature event where we celebrate the spirit of familia by inviting our loved ones to join in the fun. The day is spent bonding over games, sharing laughs, enjoying delicious food, and creating unforgettable memories together. If there’s one thing HBSA takes pride in, it’s fostering a sense of family within our organization, and Familia Fun Day is dedicated to strengthening those connections. It’s a reminder that HBSA isn’t just an organization—it’s a second home where everyone belongs.
Dia De Los Niños
Día De Los Niños is dedicated to uplifting kids from underserved communities and giving them a day filled with joy and inspiration. The event begins with a tour of our university, showing them the possibilities their future holds, followed by a day packed with fun activities like games, relay races, and quality time together. It’s an opportunity to create unforgettable memories and remind these kids that their dreams are within reach. Through Día De Los Niños HBSA’s makes a positive impact and fosters hope for the next generation.
ASU Homecoming Tailgate
The ASU Homecoming Tailgate is HBSA’s unique spin on ASU’s annual Homecoming celebration, started in 1988. At the tailgate, we showcase our heritage by serving delicous Latino cuisine, playing lively mariachi music, and adding our own special flair to the parade festivities. It’s more than just a tailgate—it’s a celebration of community, culture, and the spirit of HBSA.
HBSA's Annual Spring Banquet
The HBSA Banquet is our annual celebration, where we honor the hard work and accomplishments of members. This special evening recognizes the achievements of the HBSA familia, reflecting on both the legacy of success carried by our alumni and the progress we continue to make today. We invite alumni, sponsors, and families for a memorable night of recognition, where we celebrate individual and collective accomplishments. The event highlights the impact HBSA has had on its members and the communities we serve.
