The Hispanic Business Students Association’s executive board consists of 14 officer positions, all of which carry HBSA’s mission through their events, duties, and on-campus leadership.

The officer board plans and prepares for all HBSA events at Executive Board Meetings which are held bi-weekly.

The reason I chose HBSA was to find a second home, meet new people and get out of my comfort zone. After the first meeting I knew that HBSA was for me. I met some of my best friends now as well as it is a great way to network and meet new people.

Why did you join HBSA?

I wanted to be a part of a community where there were like-minded people with similar interests and goals who I could relate to. I felt a bit out of place at ASU so finding out that there was this big community of Hispanic students comforted me. I was drawn to the welcoming environment of the organization and the opportunities for personal and professional growth that HBSA provides for their members.

Coming from a predominantly white high school, I was eager to connect with people who came from a similar background as me. I ended up finding HBSA through the Diablxs Unidxs event and fell in love with the vibe of the organization! Nothing is more important to me than community and having that strong sense of “familia” has motivated me to keep going with the organization!

When I first came to ASU I felt a culture shock and felt so different from the people around me. HBSA was the perfect place for me that combined culture, professionalism, and community all in one! Everyone was super welcoming and had similar goals so I knew I was in the right place.

I really wanted to join a Hispanic Org so when I found HBSA the first week here at ASU everyone was so welcoming and I really loved the atmosphere and so I decided to attend that first meeting of fall 2021 and ended up coming back each time!
